Ellen M. Matyas
Attorney Ellen Matyas is thrilled to be back serving her hometown of De Pere, Wisconsin, bringing her passion for law and dedication to her community. With a background in family law and a commitment to advocating for the best interests of children, Ellen offers her clients a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and recognized excellence.
Ellen earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities before pursuing her Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Marquette Law School. Since graduating, she has been practicing law in the Fox Valley/Greater Green Bay Area, serving clients in a variety of family law matters.
Ellen’s dedication to her clients and her exceptional legal skills have not gone unnoticed. She has been nominated and chosen as a Super Lawyer – Rising Star for both 2022 and 2023, a prestigious recognition reserved for outstanding attorneys who have demonstrated excellence in their practice areas.
Ellen is deeply committed to supporting parents through some of life’s most challenging transitions, including divorce, paternity actions, and post-divorce issues. As a Guardian ad Litem, she also represents the best interests of children in these same cases, providing a unique perspective and skill set to her parent clients.
In her free time, Ellen enjoys indulging in creative pursuits such as knitting and sewing, diving into a good book, or binge-watching her favorite TV shows. She is an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers and can often be found cheering them on at Lambeau Field. Despite her husband’s unfortunate allegiance to the Minnesota Vikings, Ellen is confident that her son will share her passion for the Packers and root for a Super Bowl-winning football team.
